How Anatomy_IT. Is Able to Help Private Equity Firms

2021-09-20

ANATOMY_IT. partners with many private equity firms to help them manage cybersecurity within their portfolio companies. In general, private equity firms deal with buying, selling, and bettering private companies in the pursuit of profit. In regards to expertise, most people who work at private equity firms have experience in law and finance but are not as knowledgeable when it comes to cybersecurity.

The Problem:

  1. Business Risk. Ransomware is a top business risk for private equity portfolio companies who are finding it increasingly challenging to manage. A survey of 100 international private equity firms showed that, while more than 70% of respondents believed cyber security was a high operational risk to their business, only 23% had a fully operational and compliant cyber security program in place (Source: Cyber Security Breaches Survey 2016).
  2. Inadequate Resources. Cybersecurity is frequently assigned to internal IT teams, who often lack the capacity and/or capability to thoroughly manage.
  3. Lack of Visibility. Most Private Equity firms do not have adequate visibility into their Portfolio Companies’ IT environments, limiting their ability to manage risk.

Our Solution:

  1. Risk Management. Leveraging our deep roster of cybersecurity professionals, ANATOMY_IT delivers enterprise-grade protection at a fraction of the cost of building a team internally.
  2. Robust Resources. Cybersecurity is one of ANATOMY_IT’s core competencies – our clients are able to leverage the people, processes, and technology that we invest in, which are vastly more robust than most portfolio companies employ internally.
  3. CISO Services. We supply each client with a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), who works with their respective leadership teams to manage their cybersecurity posture. The CISO provides visibility of the IT environment to the leadership team, which is often lacking.
